Some examples of the key activities I can support you with. 

Retained outsourced HR

If you have no, or limited, HR experience within your company and would like the comfort of having an experienced HR professional on-hand to support you and the team, I can agree a regular weekly or monthly arrangement. I can offer services on a retained basis which means you would spread the cost of HR support over six months, or longer, accessing a bank of consultancy time which you can draw down as and when you need it.

Ad-hoc HR Consultancy Projects

If you prefer to bring in some HR experience at a specific time when needed, for either a more complex project or if your HR team do not currently have the capacity, then an ad-hoc HR project would suit you best – sometimes you need traction to kick-start a project with some short-term support to maintain momentum - this is where my ad-hoc consultancy option would come into play.   

Mitigate your Risks – Creating Contracts & Handbooks

I will look to create legally compliant contracts of employment aligned to your terms and conditions and written in a straightforward way so all parties can understand them. I can establish an employee handbook that reflects your people policies and company values.  I can create an onboarding experience that will inspire your new starts and give them a fast start to making a difference in their new role and stay with you longer.  

Grievance & Disciplinary

When problems arise, always treat them as a priority. Regardless of the situation and in some cases when you may need to exit staff, it should always be done with dignity. If an employee has concerns, listen and look to understand their point of view. Dealing with the more ‘unusual’ people situations can take more of your attention and time, so I will look to ensure it is dealt with swiftly, fairly and in a pragmatic way that will look to achieve a win/win outcome. 

Restructure / Redundancy / TUPE

These type of people processes can be some of the more complex and daunting to face. I can demystify the complexity and provide a simple and clear step by step process. I have led many complex people process like these myself and have learned so much from each one. As a result, I can provide the insight and clarity to what you need to do so you are following your legal responsibilities and treating your staff in a fair and professional manner.

It’s now the norm to advertise salaries when recruiting for a new role so having a clear, transparent and competitive salary structure will allow you to manage this sensitive topic with ease.
